Winter Whites

How I am coping with the sub-zero temperatures and lack of sun we've been experiencing here in Vermont...

Hope everyone is staying safe and warm as we enter this next phase of polar weather.    xoxo

  2. I think we are on round 27 of 'unusually cold weather'. I could feel my tires not grabbing the road enough this morning. Staying indoors and looking at beautiful images is more appealing. Love winter whites.

  9. What a lovely way to cope! I bought cream colored roses a few weeks ago, and they are actually still kind of looking ok...must speak to how cold my house is?! Stay warm my friend!

  11. Phyllis….I don't think I could do it either! But I sure do love this picture! We actually have pretty much all of that in the shop right now! Great minds think alike, huh? Read my post tomorrow….not sure how I'm going to cope either…and we don't even begin to know what winter is really like in the South…I know! However…I did live in Denver for a while when I was young! I guess that counts for something!

  13. Beautiful vignette Phyllis! We officially have snow. Schools have been closed since yesterday. I am mustering up the courage to brave the cold so the boys can have some fun in the snow. Stay warm:-).

  14. As Southerners, we love the romantic idea of snowy days and sledding. I imagine the reality of a long cold winter is hard to endure. Houston has bi-polar weather; 28 one day and 72 the next. Our summers are what's tough for us. I think I can now recognize your work at a glance. Always elegant. I do so enjoy your style :)

  15. Lové winter White over here, love the finials and the baluster lamp. I took an old good will lamp all wood and stripped it down giving it a white chippy wash to it much like yours here, I just love the look and feeling of your vignette.

Thank you Phyllis, for this inspiring share, thank you for taking the time to visit me and adding beauty to your visit.

See you soon and all you inspire.

  16. Phyllis, I love the monochromatic looks the best. I always think I want the room to be a lovely backdrop for the guests. All serene, sleek and beautiful. We've defrosted down here in Texas, however, all greenery is dead, the trees are not used to this kind of cold. And, neither are the people!! xx's
