Totally true!! We had to reinforce the sub-floors of our bookcases due to the weight of all the heavy books.....I still worry! Speaking of books, I am loving my Simon Pearce book. Thank you, friend :-)L
I agree...I love to look at what is in peoples bookshelves. Beautiful picture Phyllis, feels old world but jazzed up! :)
Books tell you so much about the people living in the home too. I love the tufted chair in this picture. x Sharon
Hi Phyllis...I totally agree we have books everywhere in our home and on everything. XXDebra~
I agree with Cicero. Who knew??? I have books in virtually every room in my home; some of them I have had for more than 50 years. I don't like to part with old friends.Best...Victoria
so so true! my bookcase is full and now books reside everywhere, but it makes me happydebra
We sell alot of antique books at my shop and I truly love them! Of course they are all over my bookcases at home and I have a lot that belonged to my great grandmother that I treasure! Loved this!Carolyn
Amen. I could not live without my books. Well, maybe I could live, but I could not flourish. My husband always warned that our house would tip in one direction, but as a former English teacher, I applaud your sentiments. Thanks for reiterating my sentiments exactly.b
I couldn't have put it better myself - I have books spilling out from everywhere in my house, and there is absolutely NO room for any more...and yet they just keep on coming - perhaps they breed in captivity!!Paula xxx
Gorgeous room, and I absolutely agree with that quote!
I agree, there is something so warm and welcoming about a room with books. Such a pretty image.Karen
I love this!! I still have every art/art history book I ever bought. They make me feel safe and happy! xoxo
It's so true! And books show a lot about the person living in the house!xoSharon
Wonderful words! I found my love of books when I was 6 years old & I have had my nose permanently stuck in them ever since. Keri
